M42 Duster

This Model M42 Duster is located in Aneta, North Dakota on HWY. 32. The Duster is equipped with twin 40MM cannons capable of firing 120 rounds per minute. Based off the M-41 tank chassis the Duster was first brought into production in 1951. Its main purpose was as an anti-aircraft weapon. They proved better at jungle operations against troops in Vietnam. The M-42 has an open top turret and carried a crew of six. The beautiful Memorial plaque has 25 names listed of area servicemen lost,in a city with a population less than 300.
